Discussions about death don’t happen very often. This new Death Café for Blackburn with Darwen hopes to make conversations about death more normal.

Death Cafes are a global initiative where people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. They aim to create a space to increase our awareness of death and help people make the most of their (finite) lives. The conversation at a Death Cafe is directed by the group and has no agenda, objectives or themes.

Death Cafes aren't morbid, nor are they a grief or bereavement support group, or a place to get mental health support. They are not suitable for people who, for any reason, aren't able to discuss death comfortably and openly. For information on services for any of these needs please contact us
