Care Network Policies

Care Network uses policies that govern they way the charity provides services. We do this to protect the people our charity is here to support. Here you can read a few of our key policies around data protection and IT, safeguarding and how to raise a complaint.

Data Protection and IT Policies 

Care Network's Data Protection Policy sets out how we comply with our data protection obligations and how we seek to protect personal information from unlawful access. Its purpose is also to ensure that staff understand and comply with the rules governing the collection, use and deletion of personal information to which they may have access to through the course of their work.

Care Network recognises the need to respect confidentiality in the management and use of information of that of its customers, staff, volunteers and providers. Care Network fully recognises the importance of safeguarding personal and sensitive information.

Safeguarding Policies 

Care Network makes sure that employees, volunteers and trustees are equipped to embed safeguarding within their day to day professional practice. The principles and practices of safeguarding are given the highest priority.

Care Network is committed to ensuring the safeguarding of all adults. This document sets out the policy of our charity has in relation to safeguarding of adults who use the service. This policy includes information in regards to People in a Position of Trust (PIPOT).

Care Network does not work directly with children, however adults who use our services sometimes have children with them. Our Children's Safeguarding Policy explains how Care Network will safeguard children who accompany/reside with adults who use our  services. The Policy includes information in regards to People in a Position of Trust (PIPOT).

Equality and Diversity Policy

Care Network values diversity and is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and to tackling all forms of discrimination through our role both as a service provider and an employer. This policy applies to everyone who receives services from us and to everyone who works for us and will also support us to break down any barriers to the full inclusion of vulnerable people in Blackburn with Darwen.
