Craig Sutherland, Managing Director of Thera North joined us recently at one of our Learning Disability Partnership Board Meetings. Following this he contacted our team with this fantastic feedback:

Blackburn with Darwen Learning Disability Partnership Board is the most inclusive Partnership Board that Thera North is engaged with. The commitment towards genuinely hearing people with lived experience of a learning disability, carers, providers and professionals shines through and is reflected in the fantastic attendance at each meeting from all stakeholders. It is this involvement and inclusion that brings about real change, as a provider of supported living, you can see how this is helping to shape and influence key stakeholders in how support and services are designed in Blackburn with Darwen.

Most importantly this is driven from the voices of people with a Learning Disability. Lots of partnership boards could learn and benefit from this excellent example of how to run a Learning Disability Partnership Board.
